Dave Klodowski is a singer, pianist, and music director based in New York City. He graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. While in college, he performed in the Ithaca College Choir, mainstage operas and plays, Opera Workshop, and nationally-acclaimed male a cappella group, Ithacappella. At IC, he also gained invaluable experience playing piano for mainstage musicals and accompanying theatre and voice majors. In his senior year, he was selected to study at OperaWorks in Los Angeles, a world-renowned performance training program.
After graduation, Dave started performing professionally on cruise ships, where he starred in his own Billy Joel-style show sailing around Europe. Since then, he has gone on to sing with professional a cappella groups such as Backtrack and The Cat's Pajamas while raising money for music education programs in schools across America and headlining on cruise lines such as Disney, Norwegian, Oceania, and Royal Caribbean. Dave's YouTube series, Pop Cover Tuesday, has accumulated thousands of views since its premiere in 2013 with his most popular video being "Wait For It" from Hamilton. He is co-founder and baritone of zephyr, a new a cappella group creating music online.
Dave also works extensively as a music director and pianist. He was the pianist for the 2018 Off-Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof directed by Joel Grey at National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene. Dave's tour credits include: Kinky Boots (Internat'l), Elf the Musical (Nat'l), and A Charlie Brown Christmas (Nat'l). He music directed one of the first regional productions of School of Rock at Northern Stage as well as collegiate productions of Godspell, Hair, and Legally Blonde. Dave's passion for music continues through teaching and coaching.
