Dave Klodowski is a New York City-based music director, pianist, singer, arranger, and voice teacher/coach.
Currently, he plays piano for the award-winning Off-Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish directed by Joel Grey. His tour credits include Kinky Boots (Internat'l), Elf the Musical (Nat'l), and A Charlie Brown Christmas (Nat'l). Dave music directed the world premiere of Ragtag Theatre's Hansel and Gretel at Barrington Stage Company. He also served as Music Director for one of the first regional productions of School of Rock at Northern Stage as well as collegiate productions of The Last Five Years at Columbia, and Godspell at Fordham. Dave is a staff pianist for BroadwayEvolved in NYC, a Broadway intensive created by Betsy Wolfe and Cynthia Rose.
As a vocalist, Dave performed on cruise ships from 2015-2017, where he starred in a Billy Joel-style show, among others, sailing around Europe and the Caribbean. Since then, he has gone on to sing with professional a cappella groups such as Backtrack and The Cat's Pajamas. Dave's YouTube series, Pop Cover Tuesdays, has accumulated over 100,000 views since its premiere in 2013 with his most popular video being "Wait For It" from Hamilton. He is co-founder and baritone of zephyr, a new a cappella recording group.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Ithaca College. At IC, he performed in the Ithaca College Choir, mainstage operas and plays, Opera Workshop, and nationally-acclaimed male a cappella group, Ithacappella. He also gained invaluable experience playing piano for mainstage musicals and accompanying theatre and voice majors. In his senior year, he was selected to study at OperaWorks in Los Angeles, a world-renowned performance training program. With an extensive knowledge of Vocal Pedagogy, Dave teaches private voice lessons and coachings. @daveklodowski
